November Nonsense Wrap up
November 21st marked yet another fun and successful November Nonsense night thanks to the many volunteers––students, parents, siblings, teachers, teacher interns––who made the event possible. Activities ranged from face-painting to playstation games to the ever-popular dunk tank. The cake, pop, and chip walks were a big hit, and parents were able to relax and catch up with each other at the parents’ cafĂ©. The raffle and silent auction were the mainstay of the fundraising effort, and special thanks go to everyone, including the many local businesses, who donated food or silent-auction items. Congratulations to Bruce Aubin, winner of the raffle item, an iPod touch! The GSMS Home & School Association raised about $8500, which will be used to enhance student life at George. This year’s purchases will include a ceiling-mounted in-focus machine for the River Room.
